As a husband and wife team,Arthur and Aiste brings a natural chemistry into their classes and shows, and shares it with their students and the audience.
Arthur, who has been passionate about Latin rhythms from early age, began to dance in 2005. He was a member of the Bailar Dance School, one of the most important dance training organisations in his home town Uberlandia, Brazil. Here he learned samba, forro, zouk, bolero, tango, lindy hop, salsa and other Latin dances. In 2008, Arthur moved to Sao Paulo where he continued developing his dancing and teaching skills with internationaly known masters. In 2009, Arthur had a six-month dance experience in London at the Latin Dance Academy where he had a chance to learn from world-known teachers, and deepen his knowledge in salsa, mambo,cha-cha and bachata. He was asked to join the Latin Ice Dance Company, directed by Aiste Kalabuchova-Gontijo, and their partnership continues ever since.
Aiste trained as a professional dancer in her home country, Lithuania, from the early age of 5. She completed a Faculty of Arts in Klaipeda (Lithuania) University, gaining a choreographers qualification. In 2002 Aiste moved to London searching for new directions in dance. That is where she fell in love with salsa, and quickly built herself a reputation as an outstanding salsa teacher and performer. Training, traveling and performing around Europe with the all girls group¨Duende¨helped Aiste to discover, create and develope her graceful, feminine, and elegant style.
Since partnering up in 2009 Arthur and Aiste has achieved alot in their professional as well as personal lives: moving to Brazil, opening ¨Inovadança¨dance school, getting married, becoming parents are only few, but most exciting life changing events to mention. They continue developing their dance carrier working mainly with salsa and brazilian rythms,blending their deep knowledge and experience in different dance styles that makes them exceptionally versatile.
Currently Arthur and Aiste are living in London, UK, where they are working on a few projects and their main goal and ambition: to travel the world sharing what they both love doing most-dancing.
